Weekly Group Artist Training
For 5 weeks, each participant will attend a spoken word learning session led by experienced, professional artists. Spoken Word history, community involvement, portfolio-building, self-promotion, live performance, and creative writing are a few of the themes that will be explored and put into practice.
1-on-1s
Aside from the group lessons, there will also be one 1-on-1 meeting per week with your assigned coach/mentor. Get invaluable insight on the industry, the hustle and what it takes to call yourself a full-time artist.
Final Panel
By the end of the program, each participant will have created their own Artist Portfolio and completed one work that will professionally recorded. They will present their final piece in front of a panel of judges consisting of a few notable Toronto artists, and have a chance at graduating with their final certificate and monetary bursary towards their next project.
